Another cargo of aviation fuel arrived on Friday morning in the tanker ALACRITY. She is owned by the well-known British company, Everard Shipping, since December 2006 a subsidiary of another well-known British shipping company, Fishers of Barrow. Built at Lowestoft by Richards Shipbuilders Ltd in 1990, her length overall is 80 metres. This 3,145 tonnes deadweight tanker has a Ruston main engine driving a single screw, giving her a service speed of 12.5 knots.Friday, 24 August 2007
