The latest tanker delivering aviation fuel to Rothesay Dock arrived this afternoon. A vessel delivered earlier this year, LS CHRISTINE is described as an 'IMO 2 independent propulsion chemical tanker' on her owner's
website. This means that she complies with the latest regulations for tanker construction, such as having a double-skinned hull, and two totally independent main engines, each driving one propeller. Built in Turkey for Luxembourg owners (although managed by a Dutch company), LS CHRISTINE is registered at Gibraltar and has a deadweight of 8,640 tonnes.
