French Warship D646 outbound

Seen from the Ardmore peninsula this afternoon was the French destroyer LATOUCHE-TREVILLE, which had spent the weekend in Glasgow's King George V Dock following the recent Neptune Warrior exercise. Last of the foreign visitors to leave, she is seen passing Ferguson's shipyard at Port Glasgow, where the conversion of the former rig supply vessel AMILCAR into a standby rescue ship continues. Following the warship down river is one of Clyde Marine Services' tugs, BATTLER, which had been assisting her to sail.
