The salvage of the tug FLYING PHANTOM took a step forward today when she was lifted upright this morning by the 400-tonne crane GPS ATLAS. As can be seen here, the tug remains sitting on the river bed, but will probably be raised during the next couple of days. According to press reports, she will be taken to drydock at Scotstoun for a detailed examination by the Marine Accident Investigation Branch.Thursday, 17 January 2008

Hiya,
I was down today, it looks like they have cut the top part of her mast off ready for the lift.
Tomorrow will probably be the day of the lift & move
She was towed this evening to KGV around 19.30pm.
