SCF URAL

On charter to BP, the Russian Suezmax tanker SCF URAL sailed from Finnart today, bound for Falmouth where she will be taking bunkers. Owned by Sovcomflot, and managed by a Cypriot subsidiary company, she was built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea, and delivered in November 2002. With an overall length of 247.48 metres, SCF URAL has a deadweight of 159,313 tonnes. Like her sister SCF CAUCASUS which visited Finnart in September, this tanker is registered in Monrovia. Manned entirely by Russian seafarers, SCF URAL underwent a routine Port State Control inspection while here - she appears to have passed it with flying colours.
