On charter to BP, the Russian Suezmax tanker SCF URAL sailed from Finnart today, bound for Falmouth where she will be taking bunkers. Owned by
Sovcomflot, and managed by a Cypriot subsidiary company, she was built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea, and delivered in November 2002. With an overall length of 247.48 metres, SCF URAL has a deadweight of 159,313 tonnes. Like her sister
SCF CAUCASUS which visited Finnart in September, this tanker is registered in Monrovia. Manned entirely by Russian seafarers, SCF URAL underwent a routine
Port State Control inspection while here - she appears to have passed it with flying colours.
