Yesterday evening, the Dutch tug EN AVANT 5 arrived on the Clyde towing a barge which had on board another Gottwald HMK260 crane for use at Shieldhall. It was previously in use on the Forth. EN AVANT 5 is owned by Muller Dordrecht, and was built in 1998 as QS MERCURY. Two Cummins main engines give her a bollard pull of 14.3 tonnes, and she has a gross tonnage of 122 tons, with an overall length of 21.0 metres. She was built in Malaysia, and completed in Singapore.
