A German-owned coaster, registered at Gibraltar to take advantage of tax concessions available for British ships, arrived on the Clyde this morning. FEHN CARTAGENA, which was built in 1984 by Julius Diedrich Schiffswerft in Germany as HEIMATLAND is a 75.23 metre long vessel with a deadweight of 1,573 tonnes. Since she was new she has also carried the names ATHOS and SYLVIA, and took her current name in January 2007. Now operated by
Fehn Bereederung, she arrived from Dunkerque and anchored to await the tide before heading upriver.
