HMS WALNEY was one of three 'Sandown' class mine hunters seen exercising in Loch Long today. Based at Faslane in the nearby Gareloch, the class currently numbers eight ships, with two members - BLYTH and RAMSEY - on extended deployment in the Gulf. As noted previously, three of these ships have been transferred to the Estonian Navy, one of which, SAKALA, is still at Faslane.
