Lying at anchor at 'Bravo 4' was the St John's registered coaster POTOSI, waiting for this afternoon's tide before proceeding up the river to Lobnitz Basin, where she will load a cargo of scrap metal for Spain. POTOSI was built by Slovenske Lodenice a.s. in 1995, and is a fairly typical 87.96 metre long ship from the Komarno yard, having a deadweight of 3,657 tonnes. She does not seem to have been built with the two deck cranes, which appear to have been added more recently. POTOSI is a member of the
Wessels fleet, with cargoes arranged through
Arkon Shipping, a firm of German shipbrokers.
