Two commercial ships seen passing off Innellan this afternoon, both of which are regular callers at Greenock's Ocean Terminal. JOHN MITCHELL (left) and PATUJA (right) , as well as WERDER BREMEN, arrived and sailed from Greenock without embarking a Clyde Pilot, as the Pilots are currently staging a
48-hour stoppage. The naval vessel berthing at Loch Striven this morning did so using both a Naval Pilot, the customary practice for ships using the jetty, and Clydeport's Assistant Harbour Master. The
industrial action by the Pilots has also affected the arrival of some other participants for the forthcoming naval exercise.
