WILSON GRIMSBY

At the bottom of the tide this afternoon, it appears that Wilson ASA's coaster WILSON GRIMSBY is sitting on the mud after she had completed loading her cargo of scrap metal at Renfrew, in the former Lobnitz shipyard fitting out basin. WILSON GRIMSBY, built by Slovenske Lodenice at their Komarno yard on the Danube, was completed in 1993 as POEL. In 1997 she was renamed SEAPRIDE SPIRIT, then in 1998 EXPRESS, finally taking her 'Wilson' name in 2005. She is 87.90 metres long, and has a deadweight of 3,596 tonnes. Her cargo is destined for Seville.
