Operating this week's BG Freight Line service from Belfast to Greenock and Southampton, and making her first appearance on the Clyde, was RITA SIBUM, previously named EURO STAR. She was built in China by the Zhejiang Yangfan Ship Group and completed at the very beginning of 2005. It was originally planned to name her KATHARINA SIBUM, but she entered service as EURO STAR. After a spell on charter in the Far East, she was renamed VENTO DI MAESTRALE and earlier this year, she took the name RITA SIBUM. She is 132.6 metres long, and has a deadweight of 8,238 tonnes.
