ELVITA 1 at Sandbank

Remaining alongside at Sandbank Pier, the dispute over unpaid wages by the crew of the coaster ELVITA 1 has been over for a few days, and her cargo of stone has been fully discharged. However, since the dispute was resolved, a number of her crew have left the ship, and as a result she is now unable to sail anywhere. Until more crew members join the ship, it is likely that ELVITA 1 will remain alongside the berth, disrupting any shipments of timber from the pier. Another vessel which occasionally uses the berth is SLEAT, the dive training ship usually seen moored in the Holy Loch, when she needs fuel or equipment to be lifted on board.
