Arriving early today, Princess Cruises' GRAND PRINCESS dwarfs CalMac's JUPITER as she heads past the Gourock shoreline on her first visit to Greenock this year. She is on a Round Britain cruise, calling at 9 ports - St Peter Port in Guernsey, Cobh (Cork) in southern Ireland, Dublin, Liverpool, Belfast, Greenock, Invergordon, South Queensferry on the Forth, and finally Le Havre. She departed from Southampton on Saturday 7 June and is due to return there on Wednesday 18. GRAND PRINCESS, which was the company's, and indeed the world's, largest cruise ship when built, is too large to pass through the Panama Canal, and thus spends her year on European and Caribbean cruises. A regular caller on the Clyde, her next visit to Greenock is scheduled to take place on Monday 7 July.

Am I the only one who can't help to think of a huge swimming shopping trolley? Especially with that huge handlebar (whatever the real purpose of that is, a viewing platform?)?
;-)
Armin, agree re the shopping trolley. That "handle" is where the disco is.
i'm always reminded of a boy racer car with a bolt on spoiler !!
