
Embarking her Pilot from the Clydeport cutter TOWARD off Gourock this morning, the coaster HANSEATIC SCOUT was heading for Renfrew to pick up a cargo of scrap metal. Owned by
Hanseatic Schiffahrt, based in Bremen, she was built in 2002 by the
Peters shipyard at Kampen in the Netherlands. HANSEATIC SCOUT is a fairly typical 4,338 tonne deadweight coaster, with an overall length of 89.25 metres.
