HMS QUORN - M41

Exercising off Greenock Esplanade today was the 'Hunt' class minehunter QUORN, last of the type to enter service with the Royal Navy when she was commissioned in 1989. Of the thirteen ships originally built, eight remain in active service. BRECON (M29), the lead ship, was paid off in 2005 and is due to become a static Seamanship Training Vessel at Torpoint. Some of the class now serve with the Greek Navy.
