Two members of the 'Hunt' class were seen exercising in the mirk this morning off Kilcreggan. On the left was HMS MIDDLETON (M34), and on the right HMS QUORN (M41). MIDDLETON was one of two ships of the class built by Yarrow Shipbuilders at Scotstoun, joining the Royal Navy in 1984, while QUORN was built like the rest of the class by Vosper Thorneycroft. She was commissioned into naval service in 1989.
