One of the world's most luxurious motor yachts has been in Scottish waters for a number of days, and today made a short foray up the firth from Fairlie, where she had been lying since yesterday. Built in Germany by the
Nobiskrug yard in Rendsburg, she takes her name from her build number (777), a number which in Germany is considered to be lucky. She is 66.70 metres overall, and was completed in 2006. Her crew of 18 look after up to 12 guests, who are accommodated in 6 staterooms. Designed for worldwide operation, she has a range of at least 5,000 miles and cruises at 15 knots. It is believed that she may, at one time, have been owned by Roman Abramovich, although she now appears to be operated in the charter market, managed by
Watkins Yacht Management of London. She flies the flag of Bermuda, and is registered at Hamilton.
