Making her first visit to Finnart today was BRO AGNES, a new ship in the Broström fleet, having just been completed in March this year. She was built in Turkey by the Yardimci Gemi shipyard at Tuzla and was designed for use in the European tanker trades. She is Dutch-owned and operated, and flies the Dutch flag. BRO AGNES has a deadweight of 16,740 tonnes and an overall length of 144.05 metres, similar dimensions to those of the earlier '
A' class ships built in Spain. Like other Dutch Broström ships, technical operation is by
Marin Ship Management. She is the second of three Broström ships, and is one of a series of six tankers being built in partnership with Dünya Shipping of Istanbul.
