Seen departing this afternoon, the Dutch coaster ALSERBACH was heading for Bilbao with a cargo of scrap metal for recycling. She entered service in 1997 as CLAUDIA ISABELL, her hull having being built at the Rybinsk shipyard on the River Volga, and completed by Schiffswerft Hugo Peters at Weselsfleth. She is 88.2 metres in length and her deadweight is 4,490 tonnes. She is operated by the Dutch company Management Facilities Group.Friday, 18 July 2008
