Inbound US submarine

Inbound to Faslane on Friday morning was one of the United States Navy's 'Los Angeles' class nuclear attack submarines. As usual, she was escorted by one of the MoD police launches - today it was GIGHA that shadowed her, following her absence from the Clyde for the past few weeks.

USS Jacksonville (SSN-699)

Saw her from Sandy Beach coming up the Clyde. All you could see was a bow wave, conningtower and a large stern wave. She was low in the water and almost completely submerged except the conning tower. By the Cloch she was higher out the water.
