The Greek-flagged motor rtanker MELTEMI came up the Firth this afternoon after several days at anchor off Irvine. She was built in 2006 at the Hyundai Samho shipyard in Korea for Delta Tankers Ltd, and at 274 metres long is a Suezmax-sized ship. Her deadweight is 163,759 tonnes, and she was carrying a cargo of crude oil from Escravos in Nigeria.
