HMS LANCASTER - F229

An unexpected, and extremely brief, visitor as the other naval vessels were sailing, was the Type 23 frigate LANCASTER.

After passing Cloch Point, she conducted a quick ship-to-ship transfer with SD OMAGH, as seen above, and then headed back down the Firth.

All Fantastic pics there , Just wondering what time roughly Lancaster left the Clyde , say in relation to Argyle F231 .

Hi Chris - LANCASTER passed Cloch Pt inbound at 0940, and left for sea half an hour later. ARGYLL passed Cloch outbound at 1315.

I visited LANCASTER at Liverpool once when I was in cadets. She has i an impressive helicopter on board, a MERLIN I think.
Anyway, well caught!

F239 is RICHMOND which, I believe, is currently in the Persian Gulf.
