Another SNMG2 ship that arrived today was the Turkish frigate GOKSU, which is a member of the large 'Oliver Hazard Perry' class and was originally the US Navy's ESTOCIN. She dates from 1979, when she was built at the Bath Iron Works shipyard in Maine. Like a number of her sisters, she was sold to the Turkish Navy, her actual transfer taking place in April 2003.
