Two of the Royal Navy's Type 23 'Duke' class frigates sailed on Saturday - SUTHERLAND was first to leave Faslane, as she continued her post-refit workup. Prior to her arrival on the Clyde she visited Invergordon, where her crew were involved in several events with the local community, including the refurbishment of some stones set out on a hillside above Loch Eriboll, spelling out the word 'Sutherland'. The stones were first laid out by the crew of the British battlecruiser HOOD in 1935.

Also sailing was ST ALBANS, which only arrived on Thursday for the very briefest of visits to Faslane.
