LOCH SHIRA

Over the past week or two, CalMac's Largs-Cumbrae ferry LOCH SHIRA has been suffering from a variety of 'technical problems', which have led to her spending time off service at Fairlie. On Saturday 6th June, she again had to be taken off the route and, after moving to Gourock for the night on Sunday, LOCH SHIRA moved upriver to be docked by Garvel Clyde in Greenock. She is seen here waiting to be allowed to move into the drydock where, according to local press reports, she will receive attention to one of her Voith Schneider propeller units.
