Passing Port Glasgow, with the remains of the shipyard ways at Lithgow's yard visible on the right, the Portuguese coaster BALTICDIEP was heading for Glasgow with a cargo of grain from the Black Sea port of Nikolayev. BALTICDIEP, which is owned and operated by a subsidiary of the Hartmann Group, was built by the Bodewes shipyard in Holland. She was launched in November 2006 and completed six months later. At 106.9 metres in length, she has a deadweight of 5,490 tonnes.
