Destined for Stanlow on the River Mersey, the 135.53 metre long tanker CHEMBULK HOUSTON had been delivering a cargo of fuel to the NuStar terminal at Rothesay Dock. She was built in Japan in 2003 by Watanabe Zosen and has a deadweight of 16,922 tonnes. CHEMBULK HOUSTON is the smallest ship in the Chembulk Tankers fleet, and although originally registered in Panama, now flies the Singaporean flag.
