Operating on a service from Europe to North America, the Swedish ro-ro freighter TRANSWOOD - renamed around a year ago from FINNWOOD - was seen sailing after loading paper at Greenock for Baltimore and Philidelphia. TRANSWOOD, owned by Rederi AB Transatlantic, was built in 2002 by Stocznia Gdynia in Poland, and is a sistership of TRANSPINE. Like her, TRANSWOOD too was lengthened by Blohm and Voss at Hamburg, and is now 178.6 metres in length. She has a deadweight of 18,885 tonnes.
