USS JOHN L HALL - FFG32

Their last arrival on Friday was the 'Perry' class frigate JOHN L HALL, a vessel built by Bath Iron Works in Maine and the eleventh ship of the class. She was launched in 1981 and commissioned in June 1982. This particular vessel was named after Admiral John L Hall, Jnr, 1891-1978, who commanded the assault on Omaha Beach during the Normandy landings in June 1944.
