Sailing from Faslane ahead of the other Joint Warrior ships, the British carrier ARK ROYAL was seen as she headed out to sea with the Holy Loch forming a backdrop. ARK ROYAL had a number of aircraft on board, including a Sea Harrier resplendent in Fly Navy 100 livery parked at the ski ramp. The livery was applied to certain aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm to mark its centenary in 2009.
