As usual in a Joint Warrior exercise, there was to be a large American presence anf the first of their ships to arrive was the 'Ticonderoga' class guided missile cruiser VICKSBURG. She was heading for Glenmallan, and also seen in this view is the Clydeport pilot cutter TOWARD catching her wash as she passes round the cruiser's stern. VICKSBURG was completed in 1992 by the Ingalls Shipbuilding company.
