FLINTERLAND

Also seen at Campbeltown was the Dutch cargo ship FLINTERLAND, lying at the New Quay and in the process of loading wind turbine parts made by Welcon, as the former Vestas plant is now known. FLINTERLAND, owned by the Flinter Group, is one of her owner's larger ships, and has a deadweight of 7,450 tonnes. The 120 metre long ship was built in 2007 by Hangzhou Dongfeng Shipbuilding in China.
