Marine Scotland's larger Research ship SCOTIA was seen as she left her native river - she had been built at Port Glasgow by Ferguson Shipbuilders in 1998 - after an overnight visit to Greenock Ocean Terminal. Having sailed from Aberdeen a few days previously, she conducted a 'West Coast Prawn Survey' off the east coast of Lewis before arriving on the Clyde. From Greenock, she was heading off to spend a couple of days on survey duty on the Firth.
