SEALAND PERFORMANCE

Having lain initially at Ocean Terminal before being moved to the Tail of the Bank, the large container ship SEALAND PERFORMANCE attempted to sail from the Clyde on Thursday evening. However, she did not succeed in getting terribly far, and promptly broke down as she passed Gourock, necessitating a further day at anchor. Just a few days ago, she had been transferred from the US flag to that of the Marshall Islands, with Majuro as her new port of registry. It may be noted that she does not have an anchor in her port hawse pipe - it is still lying on the bottom of Loch Striven. Presumably she has been given a dispensation to sail with just one.
