SD MARS and SD OILMAN

Now a regular site on the Clyde, Serco's Stantug 2608 design SD MARS was seen returning to the Great Harbour with the oil barge SD OILMAN after delivering fuel to HMS MONMOUTH at anchor. SD MARS was the first of the company's new ships to reach the Clyde, arriving here in April 2009 and eventually, together with her sister SD JUPITER, taking the place of the 'Dog' class tugs SD HUSKY and SD SPANIEL. SD OILMAN has superseded SD OILPRESS in supplying bunkers to various military ships as required.
